July 01 - Happy Canada D'eh!
Friday: Pre-trip meal
I went to Ximending (西門町/Xīmén Tǐng) to have the famous Ay-Chung (Ah-Chung) flour-rice noodle. I think this is call mee sua in Singapore & Malaysia. The noodles were very tasty and smooth. The only thing is you must stand and eat it as there are no seats. Oh well, eat and watch people walk by....that is what people do in Ximending!
Take the MRT to Ximen MRT Station (西門捷運站) and explore! For those keen to some hypermart shopping you can check out the 24-hour Carrefour (家樂福) which is only 5 minutes walk from the MRT.

Saturday: Sun Moon Lake
I had a group outing to Sun Moon Lake. Overall, it was a wonderful trip. The lunch was nothing to shout about but the dinner at the hotel was wonderful. I only managed to get a shot of the scallops though.
Scallops on a bed on Japanese jelly bundles:
The one thing I noticed was how the local food was rather expensive. Not sure if it was a tourist trap.
Sunday: Sun Moon Lake
The hotel had a wide spread of fresh items. It was an international buffet with a large mix of Japanese dishes. Since it was a buffet spread I did not take any photos.
I did take some beautiful shots of the scenery.
Beautiful morning view of Sun Moon Lake:
There was nothing special food wise to mention about on the way back to Taipei. I miss the wonderful scenery of Sun Moon Lake.
